Thank you

Greetings,

As a result of construction in our building, we have water delivered a couple of times a week.  I remember seeing the water delivery man for the first time.  He had to be about 65 years old (maybe older), however, he changes out approximately six bottles  every other day.  Did I mention my building has seven floors? AND those water bottles weigh a ton (well I think the bottles weigh a ton)?

Last week I saw him changing out the water bottle on my hallway.  I looked him right in the eyes, gave him a smile, and said “Thank you.”    He smiled back with a little laugh and said “Oh no, that’s my job.”  “Well, thank you for doing your job.”  I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile before that day.  I’m glad I took a couple of seconds out of my day to thank him for bringing me and others in my building drinking water.

Please make sure you take time to say “thank you.”  You never what the words “thank you” can mean to someone else.

Blessings,

Yashieka
